UNA NIÑA ES UNA COSA A MEDIO FORMAR2019

From birth, through her childhood and adolescence, a young girl is confronted with the fragmentation of her identity due to the violent world that surrounds her: a highly religious mother, a brother suffering from mental illness, and turbulent sexuality.

A story about loss, grief, pain, and the alignment of identity. An intimate tale that, as a voracious body, rises through its destruction.

The novel A Girl is a Half-Formed Thing is the debut work of writer Eimear McBride. Her innovative and experimental language travels through our inner selves, offering a new expressiveness of dialogue in the contemporary theater scene.
